The OD-2050HD is the high-end network camera with IP66 rated weather and vandal proof housing. The built-in IR LED can provide additional light source when the environment is dim or even dark. It also equips a 3~9mm varifocal lens and can be used in various situations, no matter the installer needs a wide angle or a telescopic view.

OD-2050HD is a member of AirLive’s 2.0 Megapixels IP camera family. With its full blown network functions, such as H.264 video streaming, Power over Ethernet, and ONVIF, it can be easily integrated into your existing network. What’s more, installer can also choose AirLive’s NVR or CamPro Professional as the back-end recording solution, and take it into middle-to-large surveillance project.

The video quality of OD-2050HD can be up to 1080P@30fps, which means it can provide a smoother and more detailed image. The high video quality can help user to review the recorded events in a more clear and distinct way. Vandal Proof IP66 IP Camera with Auto Iris Varifocal Lens

The OD-2050HD is a Dome type IP Camera equipped with IR LED and automatic removable mechanical IR-cut filter. It can capture clear image under a dim environment with these built-in gears. The 3 to 9 mm varifocal lens makes it cover from 120° to 40° viewing angle (horizontal). Auto iris supported is another benefit of OD-2050HD. The auto iris function will prevent the image from over exposure, and keep more detailed in the video. The Vandal Proof and IP66 rating housing protect OD-2050HD from malicious attack and harsh climate. Combine with WMK-2056 installer can hang OD-2050HD in an outdoor environment. For the wide viewing angle, auto iris and robust housing, the OD-2050HD will be the best choose for open, public and risky area surveillance.

2.0 Mega-Pixel Video Quality 6X Bigger than VGA Resolution

AirLive OD-2050HD offers high quality image at maximum 1080P@30FPS. It comes 6X bigger resolution compared to a Normal CCTV Camera. One of the most compelling advantages of Mega Pixel surveillance systems is the ability to capture more details in a frame and at the same time not missing any finer details that are useful for license plate identification and human recognition. The new CMOS sensor also provides a smoother and clearer video quality by 30 fps performance; the image will be smoother when compare with older 15fps.

H.264 Compression

H.264 is a high performing video compression standard that boasts a much higher compression ratio than MJPEG or MPEG-4, drastically reducing file sizes and conserving valuable network bandwidth and storage space. With up to 90% reduction in file size, a 1 MB image can be drastically reduced to as low as 10KB using H.264.

Built-In IR and ICR

AirLive OD-2050HD is designed for 24hr indoor/outdoor surveillance even in the harshest conditions. AirLive OD-2050HD is equipped with high resolution CMOS sensor with infrared LEDs with up to 20m working distance. The auto-changeable IR filter (ICR) inside also provides superior day/night performance. It also offers many important features such as PoE and digital input and output for integrating external alarm & sensor.

Outdoor Installation

When install our OD-2050HD in an uncovered outdoor environment, AirLive recommend you to install it with our WMK-2056, an optional holder for mounting the OD-2050HD. For the WMK-2056 will provide a shelter to prevent OD-2050HD from being damaged by heavy rainwater. Otherwise, the water might get into OD-2050HD from the screw holds and weaken the waterproof protection.

Support WDR

When strong back light is surrounding a subject, camera with wide dynamic range technology can adjust the intense backlight and dark area to balance the whole screen; therefore, user can recognize the details in the bright and dark area.

APPS for Android and iOS

AirLive has worked with IPCAM Viewer developer to add support for AirLive IPCAM. So you can view multiple AirLive cameras using Android device, iPhone, or iPad. For more information about Android or iOS apps, please visit the FAQ page.

Q1 How to add AirLive OD-2050HD cameras into Synology NAS?

Due to integration priority and schedule method, currently we are still integrating some of AirLive major cameras, however, you may still add OD-2050HD cameras as OD-2060HD in Synology NAS.

Please also confirm you have the latest version for each device.

Q2 How to Access AirLive IP Camera on IE11

Why I can't see the live view image on IE11?

Due to IE11currently doesn't support ActiveX component, so you need to add the IP Camera to the "Compatibility View Setting" then you can easily access to the camera and view the image on IE11. Please refer to the attached file for your reference.

Q3 Why can't I see the video image using Windows 8's Internet Explorer?

Windows 8 comes with 2 different versions of Internet Explorer. Please use the Internet Explorer on the Windows 8's Desktop. The Internet Explorer on the Metro interface does not support Active-X.

Q4 How to select PAL or NTSC?

Please adjust power frequency to fit PAL (50Hz) or NTSC (60Hz).

Q5 Can I take the picture with the same photo name every 1 minute?

AirLive's IP CAM supports this function that can take the picture every one minute but the file can't be the same name. All the photos will be named by time.

Q7 If the sound from camera speaker is too low, which setting we can adjust?

There are two ways to solve the problem. First way is to adjust the MIC boost setting in the computer. The second way is to adjust the audio out gain value in the camera web UI.

Q9 What does IP Code mean?

The IP Code, Ingress Protection Rating, sometimes also interpreted as International Protection Rating, classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in mechanical casings and with electrical enclosures.

Q11 What is the difference between Passive PoE and Active PoE?

Active PoE has active components inside and it is able to transfer power up to 100 metres. Passive PoE uses free wires in the Ethernet cable and sends the equipments power along them to the far end. Passive PoEs range is about 30 to 40 metres / 100-130 ft.

Q12 What does "ICR" stand for? What is its function?

ICR is short of IR-Cut filter Removable.

Day light is with visible lights and IR lights. Human eyes cannot see IR lights, but COMS can, so the color of image from COMS is red. In order to let image match to what people see, camera needs IR cut filter for day light. At night, camera needs IR light to enhance the image. If IR-cut filter is between lens and sensor, the IR light will be blocked. Therefore, IR-cut filter should be on at daytime and off at night.

An ICR is a mechanical shutter design. It is placed between the lens and the image sensor and is controlled by a motor or electromagnet.

When ICR is switched on, it will block infrared light and allow only visible light to pass through. When the ICR is switched off, Infrared light will be allowed and images will turn into black-and-white mode (by software), which is more sensitive to infrared light.

Q15 What is VBR and CBR?

VBR and CBR can usually be found under IPCAM's camera settings. VBR stands for "Variable Bit Rate". When the camera is set to "VBR" mode, the bandwidth used by IPCAM is determined by the image quality setting. CBR stands for "Constant Bit Rate". When the camera is set to CBR mode, the users can defined what is the maximum bandwidth that the camera can use. For example, user can define the bit rate to "4Mbps". It means the camera can not use more than 4Mbps bandwidth. The image quality may drop to preserve the maximum bandwidth used.
