The POE-250HD is a high-end 1.3 MegaPixel network camera designed for professional outdoor surveillance and security applications. MegaPixel (MP) IP cameras offer improvements in image quality compared to conventional surveillance cameras. The possibility to view live video streaming from AirLive IP Cameras over the Internet is only one of the benefits. AirLive POE-250HD is designed to offer high-performance surveillance and is equipped with PoE port, allowing power and data to be transmitted via a single Ethernet cable This provides an easier installation, lower cabling costs and allows placement of AirLive PoE cameras in locations without access to electrical source.

H.264 Compression

H.264 is a high performing video compression standard that boasts a much higher compression ratio than MJPEG or MPEG-4, drastically reducing file sizes and conserving valuable network bandwidth and storage space. With up to 90% reduction in file size, an 1 MB image can be drastically reduced to as low as 10KB using H.264.

  • Q1 How to Access AirLive IP Camera on IE11

    Why I can't see the live view image on IE11?

     

    Due to IE11currently doesn't support ActiveX component, so you need to add the IP Camera to the "Compatibility View Setting" then you can easily access to the camera and view the image on IE11.  Please refer to the attached file for your reference.

  • Q2 Why can't I see the video image using Windows 8's Internet Explorer?

    Windows 8 comes with 2 different versions of Internet Explorer.  Please use the Internet Explorer on the Windows 8's Desktop.  The Internet Explorer on the Metro interface does not support Active-X.
  • Q3 Can we change the cable hole of PoE-250HD from side to bottom?

    In order not to damage the camera, we DO NOT suggest to switch the cable hole by users.

     
  • Q4 Can I take the picture with the same photo name every 1 minute?

    AirLive's IP CAM supports this function that can take the picture every one minute but the file can't be the same name. All the photos will be named by time.
  • Q7 What does IP Code mean?

    The IP Code, Ingress Protection Rating, sometimes also interpreted as International Protection Rating, classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in mechanical casings and with electrical enclosures.

  • Q8 What is the difference between Passive PoE and Active PoE?

    Active PoE has active components inside and it is able to transfer power up to 100 metres. Passive PoE uses free wires in the Ethernet cable and sends the equipments power along them to the far end. Passive PoEs range is about 30 to 40 metres / 100-130 ft.
  • Q9 What is VBR and CBR?

    VBR and CBR can usually be found under IPCAM's camera settings.  VBR stands for "Variable Bit Rate". When the camera is set to "VBR" mode, the bandwidth used by IPCAM is determined by the image quality setting. CBR stands for "Constant Bit Rate".  When the camera is set to CBR mode, the users can defined what is the maximum bandwidth that the camera can use. For example, user can define the bit rate to "4Mbps". It means the camera can not use more than 4Mbps bandwidth. The image quality may drop to preserve the maximum bandwidth used.
  • Q11 Is this possible that camera works at horizontal position or vertical position?

    Yes, AirLive IP Camera can work at horizontal or vertical position. User can select rotation function to make the mirror or vertical flip.

    DI is trigger by circuit open or short. It is use DI+ Green/White and GND Blue/White.

    12V cable will always provide DC 12V(50mA maximum) output. It is use 12V+ Brown/White and GND Blue/White. (12V cable don't necessarily need to use.)
